Claire and Bob have been important figures in my life. As a child they were our neighbours and our friends. They were also my friend's parents; and were always a kind, friendly, welcoming and positive presence in our lives. At a time when we had not been in the country very long and where this sort of supportive presence was very much appreciated and needed. Cheryl and I remained friends and Claire and Bob always remained that positive presence in my life. My family will never forget their kindness and friendship and they will be very much missed.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
